Spinach Arepas with corn flour

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1 Cup Precooked corn flour
  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 1 pizca Salt
  • 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds

Instructions
 

  • The first thing to do is to blend the spinach, once selected. Place the water in the blender and then the spinach, proceeding to blend completely.

  • Then place the blended spinach in a mixing bowl, add the salt and little by little the corn flour, mixing to avoid lumps.
  • We start kneading until we obtain a consistent, soft and non-sticky dough. Divide the dough into equal portions and form them into balls.
  • With both hands and with circular movements we shape the arepas, pressing a little to flatten them.
  • Place over medium high heat a budare or greased frying pan to grill the arepas. Cook on both sides for approximately 6 minutes, if we want them more toasted we leave a little more.

  • Remove the arepas from the pudding, add butter to taste and fill with whatever you like.
